My thesis is the military should control the department of defence, there should be universal suffrage to elect the president and a law to let the speaker of the house have the power to call for new elections when Congress is in gridlock.
The president would appoint a general to the Department of Defence. After the person is granted the permission by Congress, the president would put a new bill on the Congress floor to let the military control their own department. To make sure it goes through, we should bribe politicians with money.
Universal suffrage to elect a president is vital because the people are not electing the president currently but the electoral college.
Congressional gridlock has been an issue these past few years and no legislation exists today in America to prevent it from blocking important legislation. Congressional gridlock is when Congress can not come to an agreement on a majority of bills that are presented on the House or Senate floor.
